Argor goes Copper   Leave a comment

MetalBestSeller-Copper

Ok, it’s not as impressive as announcing a Platinum or Gold seller, but we’re still very pleased that our fantasy RPG Argor has made Copper. The field of independent fantasy RPGs is very crowded, so it’s a bit of an achievement.

New Mini-Games Compendium now available   Leave a comment

Mini-Game Compendium 2 cover image (large)

Yes we have a new product out! Well, sorta – it’s our second compendium of past catalogue freebies. This one collects all our Argor-related catalogue mini-games into one product. While it’s designed to support Argor FRPG, it should be pretty easy to convert these games to work with most fantasy RPG rules. Also, the wargame elements are completely standalone, with full rules provided.

School of Axios is a location resource: full details of a minor magic school, including plans of the college house, details of the school’s owner and his staff and six new spells. Also included is some intriguing back story concerning the owner….

Raid on Spurhaven starts with a mini-scenario where the party must race against Great Orcs to find a magical artefact that could turn the course of an upcoming battle – followed by a wargame that allows the actual battle to be fought.

Escape from the Trow follows the same format – a mini-scenario in which the party is sent to rescue the Council of Elders, who have been taken for ransom by trow. This is followed by a wargame as the Free Peoples send a raiding force to evacuate the party.

If preferred, both wargames can be played completely standalone.

So, that’s three resources for just $1.50! You can get them from wargamevault and wargamedownloads.

Update   Leave a comment

It has been a long time coming, but I’m starting early play tests of a new free mini-game to include in Catalogue 9. Same format as Catalogue 8: an RPG mini-scenario written for Argor rules, followed by a mini-wargame. The wargame can either follow-on from the events of the scenario or be played as stand-alone. More news when the catalogue nears completion!

Freebie reminder!   Leave a comment

Don’t forget, if you download our utterly free catalogue you get two free games with it: an Argor FRPG mini-scenario AND a mini-wargame. You can either play them in combination (with the scenario outcome affecting the battle) or as stand-alone games. You need to have the rules for Argor to play the scenario, but the wargame comes complete with its own rules.

Get Catalogue 8 while you can: I’m working on the freebie for Catalogue 9, and once that’s done Catalogue 8 – and its free games – will be withdrawn.

Just click on the image below to go to our store at drivethruRPG, where you can download the catalogue for free.

Argor in action   Leave a comment

Just lately I’ve been contacted by a Canadian guy called François Letarte who asked about using the Argor FRPG rules to run an online RPGS session. I said “yes”, of course. François runs a bilingual (French and English) RPG Youtube channel that you can find here.

On Sunday 8th May François will l be running a live stream of an English language session of RPGS using Argor rules: click on the link above for more information. For the Francophones among you, he has already run a French language session. Prior to that he did a video review of Argor (again in French… hope he said nice things!).
